College Admissions Education

My passion for college admissions consulting enables me to work with teenagers, my favorite age group. These young adults are open to exploring new ideas and to adopting emerging technology. They are also learning how to apply critical thinking skills to address problems and develop innovative solutions. It is extremely rewarding to help high school students find a college where they will continue to grow into responsible, caring future citizens and leaders.

I earned a certificate in College Admissions and Career Planning from the University of California, Berkeley. Committed to life-long learning and professional development, I regularly attend industry conferences, webinars and educational workshops covering the latest trends in college admissions. Every year, I visit campuses nationwide to gain insight into the academic opportunities and social culture of a wide variety of colleges and universities. In addition, I am an active member of the Higher Education Consultants Association, the Western Association for College Admission Counseling, and a professional network of college admissions consultants who share best practices. I continue to volunteer in the Guidance Office at a Bay Area public high school; keeping up-to-date on course curriculum offerings, technology resources and the life of today's teenager.

Professional Experience

My work experience in public relations is instrumental in coaching students on how to write essays that creatively and effectively paint a picture of who they are and the impact they can make on a particular institution. In addition, I have more than 20 years of experience as a graphic recorder in the corporate sector working with teams and individuals setting goals, designing visions and building action plans. I also have extensive experience in leading major fundraising campaigns to support public education.
